Whether you are on Pinterest, hang photos on an actual inspiration board, or just keep really long lists of things you love on the backsides of office paper or on sticky notes, like we do, Heath Ceramics should make the cut. Started in the mid-1940s by Edith Heath, the Sausalito, California–based company (now owned by husband and wife team Robin Petravic and Catherine Bailey) focuses on handcrafted well-designed tableware, houseware, and tiles. Their dishes are used in such famed Bay Area restaurants as Chez Panisse (Berkeley) and The Slanted Door (San Francisco). And, the company just opened Heath Marketplace in San Francisco’s Ferry Building.
These limited edition nesting bowls ($85)—part of this year’s summer collection—make perfect prep bowls for that rhubarb-strawberry galette or blackberry buckle we know you’ve been thinking about. Plus, a little sunshine for your counter never hurts either. —Liesel Davis
