Every success story starts with a dream. Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield drove ice cream trucks and worked as scoopers before signing up for a $5 correspondence course on ice cream science. And everyone's heard the story of Paul Newman bottling his salad dressing in his basement for holiday gifts. The natural food brand Amy's Kitchen, Eleni's artfully crafted cookies, and all-natural soda producer Fizzy Lizzy all cite similar humble beginnings. These and countless other well-known food companies started small—with one great idea, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a burning desire to share their product with the world.

We know you've got a fantastic food concept on the backburner. Maybe it's your grandpa's gingersnap recipe or a homebrewed chocolate stout? A dream's only a dream until you make it a reality. Get the facts you need to know from someone who has a proven track record in the food business. Drew Koven, founder and CEO of Geoff & Drew's Incredible Cookies and the mastermind who put Jones Soda and Fresh Direct on the map, will give you concrete advice from an insider's perspective on what it takes start your business and make it a success.
