PastryScoop.com Announces 2008 Golden Scoop Awards Finalists
Winners to be announced at The French Culinary Institute on June 23rd
New York, NY. June, 2008–PastryScoop.com is pleased to announce the finalists for the 2008 Golden Scoop Awards, which celebrate innovation, creativity, and excellence on the part of pastry chefs, chocolatiers, and bakers working in the United States.
Chefs from around the country were invited to submit entries in the five award categories:
E. Guittard Chocolate Best Dessert Menu, Grand Marnier Most Innovative Dessert, Best Dessert Revival, Best Confection, and Best Bakery Recipe.
The finalists will be evaluated in a blind tasting by a panel of pastry chefs and food industry professionals on June 19th, and the winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony at The French Culinary Institute in New York City on June 23rd. In addition to being featured on PastryScoop.com and in Food Arts magazine, each winner will also receive a prize of $1,000.
