New York, NY. August 30, 2005—PastryScoop.com will host its 2nd Annual Sweet Success Conference on Sunday, October 16th, 2005 at The French Culinary Institute, located at 462 Broadway in New York, NY.
The conference will feature 12 two-hour workshops taught by top pastry chefs, bakers, and chocolatiers. Workshops are demonstration-based and open to amateurs and professionals of all levels. Topics and pastry chefs include:
- "Grand Marnier presents Four-Star Chocolate Desserts" with Jean-François Bonnet from Daniel
- "Silicone Molds for Cake Decorating" with Ron Ben-Israel from Ron Ben-Israel Cakes
- "DIY Chocolate Bars" with Tina Casaceli & Jürgen David from The French Culinary Institute
- "Whole Foods Market presents Farmers' Market Desserts" with Karen DeMasco from Craft
- "Chocolate Bonbons and Truffles" with Kee Ling Tong from Kee's Chocolates
- "Rumford presents A Cakewalk Around the World" with Nathan Miller from The Kitchen
- "Pies 101" with Melissa Murphy & Andrea Lekberg from Sweet Melissa Patisserie
- "Sorrento Cheese presents Cheesecakes" with Nicole Kaplan from Eleven Madison Park
- "Jellin'" with Sam Mason from wd~50
- "Eat More Chocolate!" with Alison Nelson from Chocolate Bar

All workshops are $50 each, plus a $5 registration fee. Registrants can sign up via PastryScoop.com or in person on the day of the conference. Space is limited. The first 200 guests to register will receive a complimentary event goodie bag. All attendees are eligible to win one of several fun (and fabulous) door prizes.
The conference also features scrumptious snack breaks, preceding each workshop session. From freshly brewed coffee and baked breakfast treats to an ice cream cocktail social, sweets and dessert wine, no attendee will leave hungry!
