Information Collection

PastryScoop.com is the sole owner of the information collected on www.pastryscoop.com. The user's email address and some general questions will be the only information collected on our site.

  • Email Sign-Up
    Upon arrival to our Web site, users are invited to become a member of PastryScoop.com by entering their email address. The user's email address will serve as a member ID and will be added to an email list owned by PastryScoop.com as well as our sponsor, The French Culinary Institute. Periodically, you may receive email announcements from us, The French Culinary Institute, or our sponsors. If you wish to be removed from the list please follow the instructions at the bottom of any email you receive from PastryScoop.com and you will be removed from future mailings.

  • Questions Some general questions will be asked preceeding the initial member sign-up. The questions are optional and the user can opt-out by simply continuing with the sign up procedure. Any information collected by PastryScoop.com will be used for the sole purpose of improving and modifying the Web site based on user preferences and demographics.
Information Use

We do not sell or rent user information to third parties except when required to disclose such information by law or in response to a request from a law enforcement agency or authority. PastryScoop.com may use email addresses to send the user additional information about special events and offerings from PastryScoop.com, our sponsor, The French Culinary Institute and our partners.

Third Party Intermediaries

IP Address (Internet Protocol)

We log all connections to our Web servers including the user's IP address.
